Following on from the London & Birmingham carriages, those shown on this page are early London & North Western, suitable to go behind our Bloomer. They were designed by Richard Bore, the LNWR Carriage Superintendent.



Early London & North Western Railway Carriages

The photos below show the LNWR train at the Newark Brake Trials of 1875. Our LNWR carriages will include most of those shown.

Our first early LNWR carriage will be the 21ft break van immediately behind the Bloomer. There will be  further  carriages of this period, as time allows.

These carriages are produced by the same method as the L&B carriages, and as before, designed to minimise soldering.

Seven of these are already being developed and are nearing completion. The undeframes will be 3D printed for strength and detail.
