There seems to be a modern craze for this kind of thing…. so here goes.
Peter Chatham and Stephen Weston first worked together as the Editor and Production Manager for the London & North Western Railway Society Journal and Newsletter. Peter wrote an article on the early London & Birmingham Railway stock for the Journal and this lead to Parliamentary Trains. (Incidentally, the use of the word ‘parliamentary’ in the company name required the permission of the secretary of the House of Lords and the secretary of the House of Commons.)
Peter designs the kits and Stephen sets up the production runs and deals with sales and marketing.
Peter was the PC in PC Models before he retired.
Stephen is a Chartered Geologist and works for Mine Investigation & Stabilisation Ltd www.minestable.co.uk . Please note - Stephen’s ‘real’ work often requires him to work away from home during the week; production time and dispatch for Parliamentary Trains can be affected by this.
Both can usually be seen with the stand at exhibitions.
Parliamentary Trains was the first company featured in the British Railway Modeller Series of ‘Meet the makers’ (March 2016)
